 is it shallow to not want to date someone you have a serious connection with, if they are shorter than you?

this whole dating thing is hard.... if i find a guy i want to date, they dont want to date me, then all the guys i totally am not interested in, keep trying to date me... i dont know what to do. this sucks...

im trying to do what i said i would do, which is date around this summer, but its so hard when not everyone is .... i dunno.... okay.? 

 things just got a little too serious last night... i dont know how to handle it. i think we need to back off, and see whats going on first.... but i dont know how to tell you... you cant tell me that yet, its not fair, and you have to let me figure this out in my own time.
