Here it comes.

Tyrion is forming sentences.  And he can say his own name.  And he repeats everything he hears.

Be afraid.

Tyrion and I just had another wrestling match, which he won hands down.  He always wins.  And he's getting better.  I did send him for a couple of front- and back-flips, though, and some tummy-tickling, which gave me a brief edge.  But in the end, baby conquers all.  Even when he's two.

Tyrion gave me a hand folding his clothes and towels this afternoon.  It was the most adorably unhelpful assistance I've ever received.  After watching me fold a few things and pile them up, he'd grab some other unfolded item, place in on top of the stack, pick the whole pile up, and dump it cheerfully into my lap in an unfolded mess.  He did this ( Read more... )

We had two pet cats, a pet rat, some random mice, and a family of birds living in the basement.  The first cat, Freya, got rid of the mice in a week; good girl.  The birds appear to have left on their own.  The second cat is relatively new to the house and as yet unnamed.  And Freya just had kittens.  Four impossibly adorable little blind furballs ( Read more... )
