Hi, I guess you can call me Dawn or sweatydog. I'm 18 (19 march 31st) and I first learned about Wicca when I was 12 or 13. I consider myself an eclectic solitary Wiccan. I started getting frustrated when all I could find at the book store or online was the same thing over and over. How to set up an altar, how to draw a circle, nothing about the spiritual side or WHY. Too much focus on the spells and symbolic and not enough on the spirituality.

Can I quote you for the community info? I've been trying to figure out how to express this all freakin day, and you just wandered up and said it.

i know what you mean. i remember when i was in catechism they gave me a book called "why be catholic." it didn't explain how to say a rosary or the specifics of a mass, it was about the faith not the mechanics.

we don't really have many books like that for us.
