This would be much better suited for an entry in s2howto. None of the other FAQs have any S2 code in them; historically, policy has been to put information on how to change the code of your style (whether s1 or s2) into the appropriate howto community. This is partly because the instructions on how to create theme layers, which are required for this, are already in s2howto, and partly because the appropriate disclaimers about accidentally breaking your style are also there.

All of the other documents about modifying your style for a specific feature (such as when the embedded flash player for voice posts was introduced) are contained in the howto communities. This particular issue is too specific for the scope of the FAQs.

This make sense. Could you ask someone more experienced in howto edititng to adopt proposed draft, post it in s2howto and put a link here. I'll transfer it to devs.

I know of an exception! But it sort of illustrates the rule, because the code there is no more than a line or even less. Definitely the sort of instructions in the original post should be in s2howto.
