For the first, maybe:
You can also use HTML, Photobucket, or ScrapBook's Post to Journal option to add images to your entries. To add images to your comment or profile, you must use HTML.

For the second:
stray "s" in appears ;p

I wish that we could add the information about the Photobucket RTE borkage to the FAQ :( (Oh, actually I wonder if PB would fix it on their end if I asked nicely as a random anonymous customer? :-))

Made the changes. Marking deferred so we can revisit the PB RTE borkage.

You can also use HTML, Photobucket, or ScrapBook's Post to Journal option to add images to your entries, or HTML to add images to your comments, or profile.

How about, "...to your entries, or your own HTML to add images to..." ?

replace title or description with the title or description of your choice (which will appears when the image cannot be loaded, or for users using screen reading software):

But is this actually true? I think it works for screen-reading software, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't work when the image cannot be loaded. I'd like to be wrong. :)

Thanks for working on this.

Thanks for the feedback. IIRC, the way the alt= text is handled when the image can't be displayed depends on the browser, its configuration, and whether the img tag specifies dimensions. I think that in some cases it's displayed where the image would go, and in others you need to hover over the spot where the image would have been (or the red X or its equivalent) to see it.

Anyway, part of the changes were applied already, and the rest will be considered or reconsidered next time we need to revise the FAQ
