Took me a bit to find it, but the Disable Auto-Formatting checkbox is now on the HTML tab of the update page. Might be worth mentioning, because I was looking for it right after the update page changed.
Also, might want to break apart entries vs. comments, since autoformat is not available on inline commenting.
Something like:
By default LiveJournal adds line breaks when you hit enter, and turns URLs into clickable links. You can turn off this automatic formatting allowing you to type in your own manual HTML.
On the Update Journal page you uncheck the 'Disable Auto-Formatting' check box on the HTML tab for the entry you are updating. For comments this box is labeled 'Don't auto-format:'. You must be viewing the reply page or preview page to see the 'Don't auto-format:' check box. Click the 'Preview' or 'More Options' to see this option if you are posting a comment inline.
Tweaked the HTML/RTE (actually, I think bridgetester did *g*).
I'm going to skip out on mentioning quickreply for now, since I think the way people tends get to this FAQ is through the (?) thing on the forms (not the other way around), but if we see that people start to get confused, we can edit it later. :)
