name: Elizaveta Héderváry
nickname(s): Lizzy (for close friends who are too lazy to pronounce her full name)
age: 26
date of birth: June 8 1984
hometown: Liberty, USA (fff I imagine Elizaveta wouldn't have enough money to move cities, let alone countries)
occupation: Works as a cleaner at the gay bar Chueca. Whilst cleaning toilets and scrubbing down tables, much of the town's best gossip passes through her ears. Currently looking for a non-stressful day job.
residence: A small two-room apartment in Centralia Apartments. Very, very gross.
family: A mother who lives in New York and a father who chases after his wife like a sad little lost dog.
first impression: "Are her eyes supposed to glint like that?"
TEN TRUE FACTS
1. Elizaveta has received all her genes from her mother. A hardworking banker, Izabella Héderváry lives in New York and makes her own living without the help of her gutless husband. Strong-willed and stubborn, Izabella has an eye for fashion and an ear for gossip, all attributes that Elizaveta inherited strongly. Elizaveta likes to think that her mother is the perfect model of feminism, something she herself strives hard to be. (Thankfully, she did not inherit much from her father who is shy, easily spooked and prone to whimpering.)
2. After Elizaveta got out of high school, her mother decided that it was time to pursue her long dream of working in a big city. So within a week of Elizaveta's graduation party, her parents left for the glamourous NYC, leaving Elizaveta with a mediocre savings account and her graduation present: a small two-room apartment. Her family never had that much money, but Elizaveta was determined to not give in and ask for money from her mother. And with that decision, she rolled up her sleeves and got a job as a cleaner in the gay bar Chueca. After spending a few weeks of jotting down notes in an exhausted daze, she dropped out of college and used all her spare time in the morning to sleep in. She's thinking of getting another day job soon, and the thought of returning to college or maybe even university sits at the back of her brain, along with finding another sofa and remembering to pay the heating bill every month.
3. Elizaveta is bisexual. She's known this since 11th grade, ever since that one girl fell down from her seat, showed her underwear to half the class and Elizaveta had to excuse herself to the bathroom to calm down. It was a shock at first, but then she realized that being bisexual wasn't a bad thing; in fact, it only made her more special. She doesn't flaunt this, and only a select few people know of her sexuality. Either way, she wouldn't care if half the town knew. She's not that interested in her own love life at the moment.
4. Being a feminist and a very open female, Elizaveta enjoys her single-ness thoroughly. At the current moment, she knows that she doesn't have much time to go on dates and be a good girlfriend, which always stops her from going a step too far with that cute boy in the grocery store. She enjoys flirting and making friends, but honestly, she's having too much fun just getting through the days right now to have to worry about how her hair looks and when their next anniversary is or anything like that. However, just because she doesn't take too much interest in her own life doesn't mean she isn't infatuated with the idea of 'true love'. In fact, working at a place like she does, she often goes out and chats with the bartenders or customers on her break, and she's delighted to see new couples and loving moments. If anything, Elizaveta loves to be a matchmaker. And in the end, her targets almost always fall for each other deeply, so she just chalks that up to her imaginary resume and keeps her eyes on the lookout for new people to match up.
5. Elizaveta, at first sight, gives off the impression of a strong-willed, pretty girl who's just living out her life. And that's what she is, most of the time. However, underneath her pleasantness is a strong-willed, pretty girl who will kick your ass if you get on her nerves. Never one for hiding her emotions, if Elizaveta dislikes you, more often or not it will hit you like a speeding bullet dressed like Elvis on a horse. Meaning: it's obvious and a little intimidating. Being a tomboy at heart, she will even resort to violence if it's just that aggravating to see your face. And to be honest, a punch from Elizaveta feels a lot like a bash on the head with a frying pan.
6. Elizaveta can't stand bugs. At all. Insects, spiders, small things that crawl; you name it. Unfortunately, living in the rundown little apartment that she is, she's encountered many a bug problem. How she deals with it is usually very violent and very noisy. Her neighbours would complain and tell her to keep it down, but all the screams of furious expletives and repetitive thunk thunk SMASHs leave them too scared to mention it. Thus, Elizaveta has a special frying pan in her kitchen that she has deemed the Punishment Pan. She cleans it lovingly and tries to even out some of the bigger dents every so often and refers to it as her only friend in the cold of the night. Many a time has she seen a bug, screamed, then bashed the ground repeatedly with the PP until she is certain that the insolent insect has died a million deaths and will never be seen again.
7. Elizaveta has a bit of a sweet tooth, and for that she is constantly worried about her weight. Sometimes she lectures herself about how ridiculous it is to check the scale after every week and record down the changes, but it never really gets into her head. Whenever she walks through Liberty, she always has to stop and bite down on her lip at all the beautiful pastries and cakes lining the windows. She tells herself that she can't afford to spend any more money on such trivial things as cakes but the back of her mind is always screaming at her ooooh, you're gonna get so fat if you eat that. Her mother sometimes tries to talk her out of worrying about her weight because she is perfectly beautiful the way she is, but Elizaveta never seems to let those words sink in. It's part of the reason why she never wears very revealing clothes.
8. Elizaveta's father has always wanted a pretty, dainty little girl who wore frills and laces. Unfortunately, he got a spirited, free young woman who took after her mother in more ways than one. Still happy with the outcome, he tries desperately to keep up with her pace and more often than not, spends too much money on her. Elizaveta loves her father dearly, but she really thinks he needs to man up a bit more and stop being such a pushover. However, there is always a small part in her that's disappointed that she can't be her father's perfect little girl. In an effort to please him, she started gardening and playing with flowers, surprising herself when she found out she actually did enjoy flowers and botanical nonsense more than she had thought she would. Well, other than the unwelcome swell of insects that always seemed to come whenever she tried to garden. Nevertheless, she still entertains buying flowers for herself every month and even has a little plastic one she wears in her hair. She's proud to be her father's daughter.
9. Elizaveta is very good with kids. She can't imagine herself as a mother or as a teacher, but she loves to play as their older sibling. Maybe this has to do with the fact that she's a single child, but she can't deny that there's an innocence in children that she loves to see in their eyes as they look up at the stars or eat a cake. If she finds adults who have that same innocence, she can't help but be drawn to them and feel the urge to protect them and that glimmer in their eyes. Her eyes have gradually lost that shine of childishness, but it hasn't totally vanished. It's instead changed into a sort of glow of happiness at the small things.
10. Singing is not something you want to ask of Elizaveta. It is a very, very dangerous move and she will kill your ears. She's aware of this fault of hers, and it constantly embarasses her to think about it. Most of the time, if she tries to sing it will come out not only off-pitch, but really nasally and horrible. If she gets drunk, then there is a high chance that she will burst out into song, and in that case she will start to scream metal rock. It's... not a pretty sight.
A SECRET
When Elizaveta falls in love, she falls hard. She's had her heart broken twice, and it's a painful sight to watch. She closes up and starts to avoid people, and it will take a while before she gets back to normal. She doesn't go for a light crush, when she falls in love she will go absolutely head-over-heels, so it's a good thing that she doesn't fall easily. After these experiences, she's hesitant to opening up in love matters with other people, and will always dread faults or falls in their relationship, causing her self-confidence to sink. But since the last time she's fell in love was three years ago, she thinks that she might be okay this time around. After all, it's about time, isn't it?
Notes: I didn't make any connections with other characters since I don't know anyone here. -sobs- ;____; But I hope this is okay and will go well? Anyways, Hungary is really a lovely girl and I can't wait to try this muse out. Also, I will make another account for this if I am to be accepted. n___n I promise I can make one really fast? XD
