Oh my God, you don't tell someone to watch the first ten minutes of Up - they're the most depressing ten minutes of any animated movie ever! You have to watch the rest of it just so the fear of growing old and lonely and horrible while the world moves on stops haunting you.

(But, um, it does. At the end. Just to reassure you. Pixar! They make happy movies for children about restaurant hygiene, the inevitable ecological destruction of the earth, and the creeping inevitability of disappointment and death!)
