For a while now I've noticed that when I wash my hair, my face feels like it's on fire for several hours after I get out of the shower. I only wash my hair once a week (unless there are extenuating circumstances) and am very absent-minded so I never got around to trying to find a shampoo for sensitive skin ( Read more... )

I've read forums where people recommend the vinegar is in a spray bottle, so I guess it's easy to apply and also limited amounts.

Oh, that's a good idea. If this method works out for me on a regular basis I'll have to get myself a spray bottle.

I was reading about hair mayonnaise last night, but decided that leave-in conditioners were too much effort for me. XD

I don't leave it in, it's like a treatment. You wash your hair normally afterwards, but I assume the oil in it stays in and makes your hair awesome for a few days. It was shortlived, unfortunately.

It's not as complicated as it sounds? Not quite as convenient as keeping bottles in the shower and squirting out what you need, though, certainly.

Did you use apple cider vinegar? I kind of liked the smell of that.

I found this method less harsh on my scalp than normal shampoo but also not as soothing as commercial dermatitis shampoo.

I did use apple cider vinegar, which I usually find milder than, say, white vinegar. I'm pretty sure I just used way too much.
