Star Wars Episode III was amazing1) Ewan McGregor is hot even as an aging Obi-Wan. As a bonus to Ewan's hotness, Obi-wan completely steals the movie with multiple kick-ass light saber fights and by having the best lines of the film. Ewan is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors

Generally when people are uninterested in cult-favorites or super popular things (say, Harry Potter) it's because they're close-minded (whether consciously or subconsciously) because they don't want to just be sheep following the crowd.

I was originally completely uninterested in Star Wars, but my cousin is obsessed and she made me watch. Turned out I loved it too, even though I'm not nearly as obsessed as her. And as far as Harry Potter, the only reason I picked up the first book was to see what the hub-bub was about when the fourth book came out. Turns out the books are just as good as the hub-bub suggested.

I'm not saying that's you're case necessarily, that's just generally how it goes.

I'm guilty of it right now, even. Take for instance, Desperate Housewives. Not interested, mostly because of all the craziness and having it thrown in my face everytime I turn on the TV. I suppose if someone could convince me otherwise I'd give it a shot.

If you haven't yet seen Down With Love, its a hilarious movie with Ewan and Renee Zellweger. I wouldn't call it a "good movie" by Ebert and Roeper type standards, but it's really cute.

I have seen it, actually. Caught it on HBO one day. I loved it purely for Ewan... I thought Renee was pretty annoying in it. But Ewan was adorable =)
