I just scrolled back through my friends feed, which was all colossal and comics and made it all the way to June 7 before there was an actual post from an actual person on my friends list (and that, one that I've never met in person and probably never will). I've been reading (on and off, but still semi-regularly!) although often it's on my phone which sucks for commenting.. so then I think to myself "when I get behind the pc I need to log on and respond.." which.. never happens ;-) Sorry! I also am way behind on posting in my own journal meh.

The reason why you may have issues with folks commenting, and possibly also reading back more then x entries, could very well be due to the fact you still use a layour that dates back to style system 1.. You could try switching to S2 and see how it goes then, however I am not quite sure it is possible to go back to your old/current S1 layout then. Which IS a shame cause it is so lovely... I really liked the S1 layout I tweaked myself but have moved on to S2 several years ago cause I grew tired of it being so buggy :-(

Hmmm, interesting! Thanks for the info. I will save all my code and lists and see if changing to S2 works. Appreciate the tip! Might still decide to change to wordpress at some point, but if this works, I can live with LJ awhile longer.

Welcome! I hope the switch to S2 helps with those issues. Btw I like the layout style you choose /giggles

(ps. oddly enough, I get a chapta or what ever tis called pop up when i try post a comment.. Now I haven't commented on other peoples journals recently so maybe I have it there too but it's new to me?!)

Unfortunately, it didn't work, and you were right, I can't figure out how to put my theme back in place, even though all the layers are still there. It's been too long since I worked on the customization pages. :( I've actually sent a ticket in to LJ support asking about the anonymous commenting issue,...no clue if I'll get an answer. SO ANNOYING.
