So, to no one's surprise more than mine, I suddenly find myself in a fandom! How did that happen? I don't even remember the last time I devoured fic (and one of the joys of finding a well-established fandom is that there's SO MUCH FIC, of course, one of the problems is trying to hunt down the good fic amongst the deluge).
Oh, and it's Avengers, if

It's funny, because even though I know most of the fic posting is happening over on AO3 and not on LJ these days, the first place I came running back to upon discovering a new fandom was LJ. This is where all the good conversations always were!

Matt has a Rockwood show on that Monday which I'm kind of on the fence about... we've been talking (did you know he'll be starring in Book of Mormon starting the 27th?), but, eh. Anyway, would LOVE TO SEE YOU VERY VERY MUCH.

I think Avengers' Movieverse will be a sustained fandom for a very long time, so you have a lot to look forward to. Have you watched Thor yet?

Thor in fic cracks me up. I'm a little afraid he might not be as awesome in canon!

It was directed by Branagh, who really did a good job. And, of course, Hopkins, what with him being a Shakespearean pro, made the more formal language of Asgard sound normal.
(Oh, and then there's Hiddleston. My imaginary boyfriend. Seeing Loki all damaged and sad!face...the h/c, lady, THE H/C!!!!! :-p

♥ AVENGERS!! ♥ I love the movie so much. I haven't delved into fandom or fics but I love the movie. And YES Steve Rogers is amazing and needs all the hugs. And there's dear Coulson who brought them all together. They're all brilliant! And Ao3 is great, I used to live over there when I was devouring Merlin fic. I'd download fics to my NOOK or iPod.

I love the stories that deal with all the LITTLE things that have to be so weird for Steve. Like, the internet and cable television are crazy, but so is toothpaste! and grocery stores!
