When Liz entered their shared room late that afternoon, she wore a rather rare mysterious smile. A mystery that was, however, immediately given away by the large package in her arms. Despite knowing that her girlfriend must be very curious to the package or why she had that mysterious smile on her face, Liz said nothing, but placed the wrapped gift ( Read more... )

Kate glanced up as the door was opened. "Hey Liz," she said out of habit as she looked over to greet her, a curious eyebrow soon quirking upward once she saw that the girl was up to something ( ... )

Liz wobbled a bit on her feet, shyly, like a young, little girl. A blush began to colour her face. "No... Katelyn is the one who always comes with gifts and presents. I know you work hard for it as well. So... I just... I wanted to give something back in return." Liz smiled a bit shyly at Katelyn for her own weird reasoning. Kate opened up that box and pulled the first of the two items out as Liz moved closer, speaking to her. But Katelyn did not say anything back. Instead, she was left dumbfounded, unable to speak and unable to voice how she truly felt. All she could do was stare into that plush cat's eyes. She stood in awkward silence as Liz awaited words that would not come. Even the normally expressive girl's emotions were blank; too many emotions mixed within her, leaving her so confused and uncertain that even an accomplished Seer could not make sense of the feelings even Kate could not describe.

The silence worried Liz a bit, and she couldn't quite figure out what Kate thought about it either based on her emotions. There were too many emotions and she felt them all. She was good at sensing emotions, but only in the direct way as the person who experienced them felt those emotions.

"It's... it's not good...?" she asked in a small voice. "You... you don't... don't like it...? I could... I can maybe... maybe change it at the store... I just thought... y-you're always s-strong and... and... elegant... and agile..."

Her voice trailed off, no longer daring to speak any further. She doubted Katelyn would get angry, but a disappointed Kate would be just as bad as an angry Kate.
