Oh, sort of sad to miss the hangout, but not if it got spoilery. Alas.

But yes, I agree, this did not hold my attention and get me emotionally involved any where NEAR as well as the last few episodes have done.

Tangenting off your Bruce comment: I totally don't blame Kurt for cuddling with that pillow, no matter his reasons! I have a full-body U shaped pillow (sans creepy name and shirt), and cuddling with that thing is one of the best things ever. Full body embrace, no added body heat!

Total agree on Sue and Will. Jane is utterly fabulous and I can find compassion for the stories told by Sue, but it was so out of place. And even when I'm trying to have compassion for Will he makes me go to the yelling place. He literally served no purpose other than to bring Sue to NYC for her pointless plotline and to appropriatively name his son after Finn. Ugh ugh ugh.

Verdict: NYC Glee is best when it focuses on the core community of kids who have so much love for each other. More of that, please!

Oh heck yeah, those body pillows are the best. :-)

Seriously. Jane is great, and her performance really was very good. And if the story had been told SOME OTHER TIME, I might have liked it. But it bugs me so hard because I feel like we've collectively moved past her character and everything it represents.

Will bugged me less, frankly, because he was barely there. And at least I can buy that he'd want to support Rachel. He didn't make me go to the yelling place the way he normally would.

YES, just keep it to my beloved NYC kids. THAT is the show I love.

Trufax: When we saw the halls of McKinley, I said "NO" out loud. When the Will/Sue duet started, I said "OH HELL NO" out loud. And then I fast-forwarded through every scene Sue was in, because... see above re: NO. I like Jane Lynch, but I have never enjoyed Sue as a character, and bringing the character back into a show that has finally moved *beyond* that character was so aggravating that I kind of wanted to stab somebody.

I did laugh out loud about Sue's "why is there no lock on the door?" (can't remember the exact quote), because I love her fourth-wall-breakage, but other than that? Make her go away.

Completely agree. I do enjoy her fourth-wall-breaking ways, but the fact is that Sue Sylvester has no place in NYC Glee.

Oh my god I totally agree with you about the Sue storyline, I just don't get what it was doing here or why. And I did not need that trauma - but knowing the writers, trauma was probably what they were trying to achieve, so I guess they nailed it. Poor me.

But apart from that, I quite liked the ep - small things mostly, like the mention of Finn or the moment when Tina says things can't get worse and we switch to Santana coming back in an implicit 'Erm, yes, actually they can' (followed by her being quite expectedly nice for once, but well).

I would like to know more about how Klaine discovered that gay bar (have they been searching for the best spots since Blaine arrived?) and just how often they go there too, though. I guess I'll have to let fic fill in these blanks ^^

Yes, if I can ignore the Sue of it all, I really did like this episode. Minus Sue, I really have nothing to complain about at all. But alas, we spent a good quarter of the episode on Sue's date. God help us all.

I'm pretty sure flamingmuse is working on a fic to help answer that question. I can't wait to read it. :-)
