Steven Moffat gets hate mail from people who think David Tennant should never have left Doctor Who? ABSURD.

To paraphrase th_esaurus, people who think Tennant was better than Matt Smith are just plain wrong.

I have been thinking about this post for AGES. Basically ever since the finale. It's pathetic.

FNGH, THE DYING DOCTOR. Mostly it's just embarrassing how HOT I find the dying Doctor. Also, I want Doctor/Dying Doctor fic, and Amy/Dying Doctor fic and Amy/Doctor/Dying Doctor fic, and FACEPALM. Oh, and RULE NUMBER ONE: THE DOCTOR LIES.

I did see it! IT ACTUALLY EXISTS! It's not just a terrible tease by the BBC for everyone who wants to see Matt Smith kiss all the boys! But srsly, BBC, where was the kissing?

That was such an awesome moment for me. I wanted to pause the show and just go on about how awesome and chilling the Doctor was in that moment (and, honestly, he was scarier to me in that moment than Ten ever was in his entire run, wah, sorry Tennant!).

Anyway, I love all your choices and this just makes me want to re-watch all of Season 5 again. Such a hardship, I know :P.

Oh my gosh, it was great! Matt Smith is scarier in his quietest moments than Tennant was in his shoutiest. I just think this is the most complex Doctor yet. He's so old and so young and so sweet and silly and so cold and chilling. GREAT.

I'm starting my S5 rewatch tonight! I'm glad you liked this post. :D

OMG THIS POST IS PUTTING ME THROUGH A CRISIS. I mean, I recently came to terms with the fact that Nine is My Doctor but Eleven is my favorite because he's the PERFECT DOCTOR but I think Eleven is My Doctor nao.

UGH. HE IS SO AMAZING. And in your recap I'm noticing how he was a bit Meaner earlier in the season (still wearing off the remnants of Ten?)

SORRY FOR PUTTING YOU IN A CRISIS, DEAREST! No, but I love Nine too, though! Nine is fabulous and Northern and so, so sad and angry. I love Eccleston. BUT. BUT. ELEVEN IS MY DOCTOR. Through and through. I love almost everything about his performance. He really is the Perfect Doctor to me. Honestly the first Doctor to really make me connect with the character.

Oh, but Eleven can be SO mean! I love those little moments where you see flashes of his coldness. It did happen more earlier in the season: could be working off the last of Ten, or could be he felt guilty after Rory died and was being careful to be nicer later on... I dunno. Matt Smith plays those moments really well.

BEST SEASON. I WANNA WATCH AGAIN TOO. I can't keep watching The Big Bang over and over until Christmas!
