Remember the spider that hid in a pair of trousers, bit me and then set up shop on the wall near the ceiling?  Myf named him Ringo (I love the influence I have on my kid) and loved saying hi to him and waitin for him to come out on his web.  Yesterday evening, we noticed he'd gone-and when I checked on the floor, I found his poor body, all curled ( Read more... )

How is your brother doing hun? Is he ok and out of hospital?

Oh honey-at least he's out of the hospital, hopefully they'll sort him out soon. We'll keep him in our thoughts.

Sounds like she's nearly ready for Neil Gaiman's "Anansi Boys". It's a great story of Fat Charley and Spider, two sons of Anansi the Caribbean spider god (their manifestation of the Trickster spirit).

HAHA It's interesting you should mention that book-as a kid I used to hang out with garden spiders (house spiders were the ones that made me hyperventilate) and I used to call them all Anansi (was and still am a freak for mythology)-a couple of years ago, my sister Jess bought me a copy of 'Anansi's boys' because she remembered me doing that! I love the book-Neil Gaiman is a genius although I haven't yet read 'American Gods' which I think is the prequel?

(And Myf has a spider puppet called Anansi lol)
