Rain happened to have worked late at the Library yesterday, so when midnight struck and she turned into a deer, it didn't seem smart to try and head home. Not to mention that she couldn't manage the doorknobs with her hooves

[ Liam was quite often in the library, but, despite the last few months of unexpected surprises, even the deer in the library was a bit much. Carefully, bemusedly, he follows behind it. It was even helping all the people. What a curious creature indeed. ]

Deer Rain turned and while she couldn't smile at him, she did suck her head a bit, and then look at him curiously as if asking if she could help him somehow.

Urk, ducking behind a stack of books, Liam tried to pretend that he hadn't just been stalking or watching or even plain staring. Perhaps the deer was sentient after all. Such bad form of old Liam...

Ahem, there was nothing left for it. Creeping back out of the stack, Liam smiles tentatively, clutching onto his randomly chosen book. "My apologies, but I do believe I've never seen a deer in a library before. Do you often work here?"

He was starting to believe that nothing was impossible in this city. Absolutely nothing.

Deer Rain trotted off and quckly returned with her work punch card to show him that she did indeed work here.

[Lily is working in the library as well and the doe definitely gets a double take. At first she thinks she's still half-asleep then she realizes no, the doe is real.]

How did you get in here?

[She hasn't been in the City long enough to realize people turn into animals occasionally.]

Deer Rain hesitated, then went back into the employee area and returned with her time card held gently in her mouth. She held it out for the girl to see.

[Lily takes the time card from Rain and nods.]

In that case, I supposed you'd like to be let out.

Deer Rain nodded and, perhaps surprisingly, led the way up the steps to the roof and waited there for Lily to open the door.
