Max had woken up when she had, but after cracking his eyes to see if anything was wrong and determining that the answer as no, he'd let himself drift off again. His plans to sleep in ridiculously on Saturday had been interrupted by Adi's arrival, so he figured he'd give it another go today.

Somehow he doubted the little girl was going to let him get away with it.

It might have still been slightly too early for Adi. As evidenced by her delicate little snores and that rolling-over-in-sleep-with-arm flopping-right-onto-Daddy's-face move.

Millie couldn't help but laugh softly at this, curled up in her own pile of blankets on the other side of the tiny child who was now somehow taking up well over half of the sleeping space.

Oh, like that was an accident. Max faked some loud snoring of his own and streeeeeetched out his arm. With his hand just happening to poke Adi in the ribs, looking for a ticklish spot.
