Glad to hear you've had a nice time. I suppose you could put it down to you having your own independence for periods of time at University. Now you're aunt and uncle don't have the same connection as your parents do, so, as silly as it sounds, they probably don't have the same relationship with you as what would be with your parents.
That and peaceful areas are nice. I'll gladly escape to one eventually for times of reading with a glass of herbal tea / wine on the side.
Yep, you're probably right. Although I'm limited in what I can do on my own here, it's still not the same as having to answer to parents and making sure you're 'allowed' to do stuff. I fear that while I'm living at home I'm never going to be particularly independent, because I fall back into the role of Being Answerable To My Parents. I still feel like I have to okay things with them before I do anything.
I would like it even more here if I had a friend with me, I think. It was nice going to the museum and that the other day, but I felt silly on the beach on my own (I only stayed for about 5 minutes). If I was with someone we could go for a picnic or something. With wine. Definitely.
