It's pouring rain now, finally. Rained all day yesterday, and I rode my bike in the rain to and from school. I don't mind it too much, I find the spray on my face refreshing, but I can tell that it affects Suzanne's mood. Sounds like Suzanne is doing a total makeover on your apartment. Your landlord is very fortunate! I hope you stay there long enough to make it worth all the work!

School sounds overwhelmingly time consuming and challenging. I am glad you will be getting a little break of sorts. Go to the mountains or the Gorge or the ocean for a much needed respite from Portland. A little getaway could be refreshing.

I envy your typing skills, I am really slow at it and makes lots of errors. Oh well. I learned later in life and none too well.

The rain can be a little much, especially combined with the darkness of the days. But these coming months will pass quickly and spring starts up very early around here!

Yes, the slumlord is getting a great deal having her around. She just can't stand slumminess, and knows how to do things right with a minimal budget.

School eats up my life. I often have a hard time getting up in the morning, but once I am gone to school the day flies by. It is hard to cover the material outside of class, so I make sure I am present and focussed during class. It helps. I just spent 2+ hours reviewing histology slides and I have a long way to go for the level of proficiency I need for the lab final. Study study study. At least I'm getting it done, here at home.

I am already looking forward to spring! I bet you are too.

Are you acing everything? I bet you are. =-] Here my grades are pass/fail, so a 71% is as good as a 94%. 95% and up is honors, but I'm only near that range in one class.....

I like rambling thoughts like this, they're good. School sounds like a challenge. I just signed up for one class next semester. That, and I have to complete the work for the incomplete that I got in the spring.

I also learned how to type young, so it comes naturally. I really enjoy it when I am on a roll and love the feel of the keys beneath my fingers and the sound of the keyboard.

I remember the first typewriter I learned on was a manual - thwap! thwap! thwap! - then our school got IBM Selectrics with the balls and those were so exciting! Then later we moved to the word processors and computers.

I had one of those old typewriters too! That's what we learned on in school. And the white correction papers that you have to position and WHAP over your mistakes, then back up and retype. Keyboards are so much easier!

School IS a challenge. I'm studying biochemistry this morning and I have a LONG WAY to go. We have already covered all the material that I studied in Flag at NAU in a semester, and we're only on quarters here. Whooosh.

Good luck getting that incomplete put to rest. I'm glad you're on it.
