I just found out that in my area we can use a regular garbage bin or wooden bushel basket for our yard waste (leaves, grass clippings, green waste) instead of having to buy those paper yard waste bags. storage containers instead of baggies
cloth pads/keeper/diva cup
reusable grocery bags
composting instead of throwing peelings into the garbage (saves money on having to buy garbage tags or going to the dump AND you can get awesome dirt for your garden. Remind me to talk about vermicomposting with you!)

cloth napkins. a big pile of rags and towels to use instead of paper towels. you can rinse them at the end of the day so they don't get stinky and then wash all the napkins and wash rags all together when you've got a full load. the dollar store near me sells packages of 50 washcloths for $4 or you can use pieces of old t-shirts or towels.

That's a good point actually, I have a lot of old wash cloths that I'm not using, and a big roll of paper towel in the kitchen that we probably use more than we need to. :)
