Where did all the fun go?

80% of the contents of my home is now in storage. I'm finding stuff that I thought we'd misplaced five years ago. I'm actually looking forward to having a week of less responcibilites, so I can do some reading, writing, and being a vegetable. Ideally, I'd be sitting on a beach somewhere, but doing it in my head will have to suffice.

Helping my mother move to a new condo has my back screaming for assistance. It's hot here, and everyone that knows me personally is aware of how I deal with extreme tempitures. and it still hurts.

I need to be reminded about my age occasionally. Digging a trench 18" deep and 120' long through glacial fill is just plain stupid. My hands are bruised, my legs are shot, and I'm a little bit sunburned. I'm way too old for this. This is going to hurt all week, I just know it.

Road the bicycle today, down to the farmers market. Ran over many toes. Much joy was taken. Road up the waterfont to Wintler park. I'm not used to clipless pedals so my feet are sore. Now if only Birkenstock made SPD shoes, I'd be in heavan.

The light is on my dashboard. Low Fuel, it dims when I slow down. I wonder if it's a metaphor for driving. I just put ten dollars in yesterday, and now the light is on once again.
