Me neither!! It makes my heart sink and my stomach hurt every time I think about "life after Ziva" on NCIS- which is why I will not watch it. I can't bear to think about a repeat of 7x01, only this time with no hope of Ziva returning. And I can't bear to think about someone coming in a few months to permanently fill the seat she has filled so well for 8 years

yes, this. a kiss will not do it for me, nor pillow talk. I NEED them to be together. they are endgame. they are the ONES for each other. on the one hand, GG has delivered in the past. but... I simply CANNOT conceive of a scenario that will deliver in just two episodes.
Sigh...too little too late for me on Tiva. I wanted more...not that it had to be the whole show but enough that we got hints here and there. Like a mistletoe kiss or them leaving the office together....
I shared a few thoughts on the facebook page for a couple of hours. I guess yesterday's news prompted a lot more people to ask why CdP was leaving so there were lots of Cote don't leave comments. I try to be quite logical with my explanation so while I might get hate/marked as spam, at least it makes sense to people who think..
Sammy, you did a bang up job organizing a campaign that really showed CBS how many folks out there care about Ziva. I really do think they were surprised with the outpouring they're getting.
I just hope some more information comes out soon. Not so much spoilers (i'm done and could care less), but relevant information to help us make sense of this. I still say if Cote wanted to leave, it takes a 2 line press release and doesn't have to involve personal information at all.
I'm right there with you. I don't know Cote but this all seems contrary to what we've been told about her for so long. And, usually when Hollywood people have the diva attitude the news starts to trickle out eventually, so for her to have been on NCIS for 8 years and no whisper of anything odd and now suddenly she's leaving the show and friends she loves in a huge lurch - just seems off

You are right: there is no way in hell she is that kind of person. And yes, it was most likely not about the money, but the circumstances. The one-year extension she only wanted, for instance, versus CBS wanting her to cuff her for multiple years. She has to think about starting a family at one point, right? And especially after the last season, I can absolutely see her wanting a lighter schedule. But coupling these factors, continued high schedule AND a meager raise? Yeah, I can see her walking out at one point saying, "I don't need this."
And you are right: the CBS propaganda is strong. They have a lot of money and resources behind them, after all. And yes, I'm having a pretty disheartened day as well. But my brain still says, it doesn't add up. Not enough that I buy what CBS throws at me. And thus, until I learn the truth, I will keep going. I have to. The alternative is unthinkable.
it's all weird. it doesn't sit well with me. something is wrong. Let's say ALL of the propaganda is true. could they not have worked out, I don't know, six episodes? this is a MAJOR character! my god, if Gibbs or Tony left it would be a full season! this is crazy! but she is every bit as important if not more so than those guys.
Maybe this has come up somewhere before, but I've not seen it, so consider this: Cote wants to negotiate a one year contract so that she can be on the same contract schedule as her peers. Yes, she's on the same as Mark, but since he's an executive producer, they are not in the same league when negotiations start. If Cote is on the same schedule as Micheal, David, Pauley, Sean, and Brian, together they can bring a lot more pressure to bear to assure better pay for all - remember the Cheers! bunch? Moonves says they offered her a lot of money, but doesn't say anything about her other desires. Then they offered her more money and by that time she's got her back up and says to herself, this has become a matter of principle now - no backing down. She's out there on her own - no cast mate on the same schedule and possibly no one giving her moral support. It gets to the decision point and given the possible frustration of lack of real negotiation for what she sees as a real goal, she tells them "No deal." Of course they can't

I could see it. if it really happened like this, I imagine everyone scrambling. ESPECIALLY after the shitstorm to end all shitstorms. I do think she could be back for future eps. there is only one thing I care about. I want Tony and Ziva to get their happy ending. I NEED IT.
You don't have to convince me! People on the NCIS fb page aren't really falling for this CBS stunt. We need to keep up a strong presence there and share links and show support for Cote. Let's keep going!
I've blocked most of the nasties so I don't see them, but I'm sure they're commenting on my posts. But at least Facebook is nicer that way and i put my thoughts out there but don't engage. Speaking if engaging, there is one (well there are lots really) thing I don't get - why so much vitriol directed towards CdP? What has she ever done on or off the show to deserve it? I guess it's all how you perceive it, I saw someone say they had never seen two people with less chemistry than CdP and MW....and I can't think of anything further from the truth.
Just my humble opinion here. ANY time there is passionate love for someone or something, there is also a tiny sliver of passionate hate. To me this just proves the passion. Put it this way, there are NO MCGEE HATERS, ever
