Introspective Tony gets me right in the heart, and when it's Ziva he is thinking so hard about, it is like a double delicious jolt to my little shipper heart.
When they finally do cross over into a real relationship, I would bet these are exactly the thoughts that he will be thinking.
I am sorry you weren't feeling well, but your readers much appreciate the fruits of your fever. ;)

It's so easy to imagine a scenario in which Ziva is this comfortable with Tony. I mean, truthfully, who else is capable of sidling up to our ninja these days with such ease. The invasion of personal space is no longer an invasion; it's invitation, and a welcome one at that. One rooted in a trust so deep that it's no longer breakable.

Oh yes...lovely.
Tony's thoughts and feelings, so in character with what we've seen and heard, especially since S7, more or less. He's been looking for someone and she was right there in front of him and finally he found her.
Oh, just lovely.
This to me is the most telling section

To his great surprise, she instantly relaxes at that
It says to me they are totally together, in every way possible.

- THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I WOULD PICTURE THEM. CUTE, AND INTIMATE, BUT NEVER LOSING THAT ADORABLE SNARK. THAT LITTLE BITE OF HUMOR WAS MY FAVORITE PART OF THIS WHOLE LOVELY PIECE.
