Introspective Tony gets me right in the heart, and when it's Ziva he is thinking so hard about, it is like a double delicious jolt to my little shipper heart.

When they finally do cross over into a real relationship, I would bet these are exactly the thoughts that he will be thinking.

Gah. I beg of you: always post the stories like this one that mug you in the night. The beauty of a ficlet like this is that it's a moment in time. We don't know when, only that it happened. It could be any time, but the wonder of it all is there. The intimacy.

It's so easy to imagine a scenario in which Ziva is this comfortable with Tony. I mean, truthfully, who else is capable of sidling up to our ninja these days with such ease. The invasion of personal space is no longer an invasion; it's invitation, and a welcome one at that. One rooted in a trust so deep that it's no longer breakable.
