On Ziva, punches and domestic abuse

This rant has been brewing for a while in me, and today feels like a good day to tackle it. It is, however, a controversial topic, and I fully expect some followers to wander off after I voice these thoughts, but in the end? I'd rather look in the mirror than at my follower list. When Ray gave Ziva the empty ring box I thought "what a jerk" Something like that is passive-aggressive plus just plain arrogant and mean. The punch she gave Ray was way over-due, starting with the lying about being in the CIA and he only admitted that when EJ recognized him. Can't trust a guy like him. When Tony called him a "lousy dude" I think that comment made Ziva wary of Ray. Being stood up was a warning sign also. But Ray wasn't even sorry for killing that innocent woman! He was a bastard of the utmost and she should have turned him to Gibbs ((maybe she did, that part was unclear). So you are so right about Ray. BTW haters are to be laughed at and ignored. They hate that the most!

Who is the guy high five-ing someone? Kinda cute :)

Can I post a pic here????

So, at first I didnt really understand why they made Ray the murderer in the first place. I felt that it was somewhat unnecessary. But now I totally get it. This is also a promise that Ziva will never get back with him, whereas if he HADN'T been the murderer, who knows? Maybe, Ziva would have given him another chance a month later (although i highly doubt it). I will ALWAYS believe that Ziva did the right thing by punching him in the face. And honestly, the people who say they are "pro Ziva", and are making those ridiculous comments? Maybe they are not really "pro-Ziva" at all. I will always stand behind Ziva's decisions (unless they involve not being with Tony haha) and i think she usually makes the right ones. So as always, thanks for a great rant :) and for giving me the chance to rant a little too.

My reaction to the punch was the same as yours. I'd been wanting to jump through the screen and do it myself since Pyramid (actually, possibly even since Two-Faced), so it was highly satisfying to see Ziva sock him in the face.
And you're right; Ray was being emotionally and borderline physically abusive and it was way past time Ziva dumped him for good. Mind you, I would have been even happier if GG had let Ziva stick with her initial decision to leave Ray back in Two-Faced, but... oh well. This works too.
Now let's just hope that Tony and Ziva both soon realize/admit that the love they've been looking for has quite literally been right in front of their faces for years.
