Today, about 10:45am, I took my students out to see snow for the very first time in most of their lives. It was neither heavy nor thick and it certainly didn't last after it hit the ground. At some time in the near vicinity or 3am I woke up and got to experience the most amazing and spectacular thunderstorm. There was no rain (at least at first) and the percussions were strong enough to rattle not only the windows but occasionally the doors INSIDE the house and, once or twice, my teeth.
