Ally, this was simply amazing. And so beautiful. I could picture it perfectly in my head. Mark and Lexie sitting on the bed, Mark trying to talk but Lexie just holding his hands, staring at them. I loved all of her internal thoughts. I absolutely love writing Lexie and I love fics that delve into her inner thoughts like this. Great job, Ally! I really enjoyed this! And can I just say that I am so happy you are writing M/L again? Because I am super happy :D

Thank you so much, Katie. I am so thrilled you loved how it flowed and could actually picture it. I love when people are able to picture it. I've never really delved too much into Lexie's thoughts but this was fun and I enjoyed writing this. :) Awww, thank you. I am super happy to be writing them also. I actually sent this to a writing professor who is a friend of mine and she gave me an idea how how to possibly continue it. What do you think? Would you want to read a continuation of this?

This is gorgeous.

I think it can sometimes be tempting as a writer to separate the sweetness of a relationship from the harder realities a couple faces, but it's so much more meaningful (and that much more romantic, actually) when the two coexist - and you've done a wonderful job with this.

I loved how Lexie didn't flinch from any of the truths of the situation; but through this loved Mark even more. The way you use their hands (her examining his; the contrast; his grip tightening on hers) is really masterly and very beautiful. I also had a very strong visual sense of everything happening; and you used 2nd person very well to dig into Lexie's introspection.

Awesome work. Thank you so much for writing it for me &hearts

Thank you so very much. I am so beyond thrilled that you liked it. I was nervous since I look up to you when writing so writing a prompt for you was a wonderful experience.

I'm glad you loved the hands. Masterful and beautiful? Wow, I think I just fell out of my seat. Hearing that from you means the world to me! ♥ I cannot even tell you. This was the first time I've ever attempted 2nd person so I am so glad it worked for you! :)

You're so very welcome, and thank YOU for prompting me with it. Feel free to prompt me anytime you want. I want to get back into writing Mark and Lexie more often. :)

I actually sent this to a writing professor I know and she gave me an idea of how to continue it, or to work more with it. I wanted to see what you thought of that.

I'm intrigued. To me it seems like one of those one shots that is complete around a central idea; and I'd love to know how a writing professor would go about expanding it, partly because this is something I have no idea how to do. (I can almost never write sequels / extend stories I have conceived this way.)

If you do continue, I would love to read.

I was intrigued when she gave me the idea also, however she doesn't know anything about or watch Grey's, so I'm not sure if it could work. I could try it though and see what you think!
