I came home this afternoon and did some of the cleaning I'd neglected this week. Did the usual, start in the kitchen wash any pots and pans leftover, load the dishwasher, sweep the floor etc. continue through the house--dining room, living room, bedrooms, bath...mop--that whole thing. Ugh. I emailed the landlord about it and noted that our neighbor mentioned having them a few months ago. It seems that an exterminator would have to be a jointly approved expense between the two of them. Here's me not happy about that shit :\

I know... and you totally got my point in saying that.
It's unfortunate that because of divorce proceedings your sense of cleanliness and overall mental health must suffer.
At least you care enough to address it and don't just think it's a funny little nuisance.

On one hand I feel bad, I know mice aren't malevolent creatures, on the other, I'd really prefer only invited critters to roam about my house if I ca help it.
Sadly, the cat was upstairs napping while I'm getting flashed by mouse ass in broad daylight.

oh my cats would have a field day...when we lived next to UDF we would sometimes have a few vistors move in every once in awhile...and the cats become quite the little huntresses. Mice didn't stand a chance with them on watch. Spiders I can handle...mice ewww...not my thing...

I agree. I'd love for the cat to catch the mouse...on the other I don't want him carrying dead mice around the house either. So I keep going back and forth from being hopeful he'll take care of the situation, to hoping they'll go back to our neighbors house.
