[After making a trip to the cemetery, Mae runs home and grabs the phone.]

Hey Mayfield? Consider this a PSA.

If anyone's going to go dig up those bodies, be careful. My Geiger counter went nuts near them. So either they're highly irradiated or they're doing something else to mess with my pip-boy.

Either way. Radiation sickness is not fun, trust me. ( Read more... )

radiation is not fun, event, psa, gnr, radio times

They're glowing. And my pip-boy has a Geiger counter on it. We need them back home.

Radiation. Do you think that could help in narrowing down how they were killed? [ Things very suddenly became deathly serious in Mayfield over the past couple of days. He doesn't like it. ]

Possibly. All there is in the graves is glowing skeletons though.

I like to think there's a little hope for answers out of everything. Though this is one of the more improbable situations in life.

I'm less worried about that sort of thing and more concerned about this virtual business and what it is the announcement meant by "what we aim to achieve".

Well yes. But getting radiation sickness won't help people think straight.

True. And it's better to avoid potential harm. But, I'm sure there are those who don't need to worry about the threat.

I'm not sure.

My pip-boy has a Geiger counter on it. It was going crazy. I couldn't get a good reading from it.

[There's a pause as he mentally reviews various timetables for different levels of exposure.]

Okay, well, assumin' it is, then I guess I'll find out how bad in six hours at most. Because I'd uh-I'd taken a first-hand look myself.

Well so far I haven't gotten any reports of radiation sickness. I don't think this place has any rad-away though, so if we do get it, we might be in a bit of trouble.
