. It sounded like someone was trying to make one of those sappy new-age hymns and was using lullabies as their basis. I actually did LOL.

I like that techno version of "Allegretto." I'll listen to the other one next--wakanomori just appeared and so we have to trade tales.

Gagging in your sleep sounds like a bad plan. ._.

I played Bachanale in an orchestra for a district concert. It was AMAAZZZINGGG :D YAY YOU GET TO PLAY IT

Marriage of Figaro is also crazy fun.

Also, that's really cool about Paladio and Allegretto. It figures that modern band can write crazy awesome songs. :P

Indeed.

Ah. See, I remembered hearing it at that concert, but wasn't sure if it was your group that played it. And yes, AMAAZZZINGGG is the word.

Agreed.

Isn't it? What a crazy random happenstance! Yeah, Palladio is only from 1996, it looks like, so quite new. And quite awesome.

Oh, I had actually meant to say that it figures a modern band (the one which made Allegretto) couldn't write an awesome song, and just remixed an old one. But Palladio is new? So I suppose good new classical-style music *does* come out, and it isn't all new-agey or over-stylized. Yays!

also, re-reading this, I'm not sure if it's making sense... I just spent the past hour reading A Tree Grows In Brooklyn, and now it's 1 AM and I am very sleepy, so sorry if this comment doesn't make sense... *sleepiness*

We were a small group as was, and smaller when they separated the strings from the winds/percussion....maybe 40 of us? And around 10 flutes?).

Your BHS perspective coming through, I think: for some places that would be a goodly number, I think (our full band was maybe 40 people at Downside!). Excellently descriptive notes -- so you ended up with the sleepy gagging one instead of pirate tunes, eh? Must have been a *really* bad arrangement. . .

That may be so... but it really makes it feel band-geeky-y!

Well, the sleepy-gagging bit wasn't the entire piece. The rest of it was decent. Easy, but fun.
