Title: What's the Opposite of Pathetic Fallacy?
Author: rustydog
Characters: Connor, Cutter
Ratings/warnings: rated G, no spoilers
Notes: Written for primeval100 challenge 152 Thunder and Lightning and "U" in my alphabet prompt table. Dust storms can kick up static electricity like nobody's business, so don't try to touch your car during one!

Connor's mistake was in turning his back on the anomaly. )

LOL at the ending! Great drabble. And I learned something new! Had no idea dust storms could create electricity. (Although the little science voice in my brain is going: well dur, it makes sense! Heh.)

Thank you! *g*

I sometimes teach a meteorology unit in my classes, and I like to show them a History Channel documentary on the Dust Bowl in the U.S. during the 1930s, Black Blizzard. It's completely fascinating and one of the things I learned was about the static electricity. *Lots* of volts! People would get thrown back from touching a farm implement or barbed wire fence.

Oh wow! That's very cool.

What is it you teach? Some kind of science, I'm assuming.

(And I love that icon.)

ESOL to college students, so we can cover any topic and it's still useful for language teaching. (Theoretically I could show episodes of Primeval if I can make it about language. *g*) Recently I've been having a lot of scientists from the Middle East, so our topics tend to lean in that direction. Pretty fun. :)

Thanks! The icon is so useful. obsessiveicons had a lot of good text ones awhile back.

Loved Connor's assumption that he'd done something stupid! Great drabble.

Hee, thank you! I think Connor may be afraid of that more than he shows.
