I don't know if I'm dating the Chinese girl. We had lunch today, she brought subs and drove us to the park way up on Council Crest, talked about pets, her family in Beijing, the 4th of July, polygamy. I made her laugh a few times

If the hug is the only physical contact you've had on more than three dates, I'd say you're just friends. If you can't keep your hands off of each other, you're dating.

My formula is pretty reliable. Of course, I'm still single so make of that what you will. If only the people we're hot for would have the courtesy to be hot for us in return life would be much simpler, don't you think?
I once had a coworker/friend through out the length of my marriage. When my husband and I split the friend and I continued to hang out. A couple of months later a mutual friend inquired how it was going. What do you mean, how is it going? Apparently, the coworker/friend had confided to the mutual friend that we were dating, that he had always had an interest in me, but I was married, and now that that was changed things were going swimmingly. I was floored. I mean, thinking it over, he had been slightly more attentive, but I chalked that up to a good friend being supportive through a difficult time. Perception is a funny thing.
