I don't know about the experience of being kicked in the privates, but we slept like babies on our wedding night. From what I've heard from my friends, none of them did much making merry on the their wedding nights either.
Not sure how much injury you want him to have. As you know, things are a little different when someone is aroused so the damage would definitely be worse, and could actually be hospital bad. If she managed to only catch him in the nads I would assume that, due to increased blood flow, the area would bruise even easier than a normal blow to the testicles, and kicked hard enough there could be testicular rupture. You may find something helpful here. If you look at the little menu on the left hand side, it will give symptoms, treatment, etc.
If she caught his penis with the kick, and there would be a very good chance of that if he was erect, then she could actually cause a fractured penis. See hereNeedless to say, unless it was just a glancing blow, which would still cause a lot of pain and probably would cause your guy to REALLY not want want sex on his wedding night, a hard kick could put him out of commission for a while. My guy friend says it feel like severe bruising, causes awful lower abdominal and back pain, and hurts to pee. He

Guy here. The effects of being kicked in the balls is one that brings on overarching pain in the abdominal area and can be accompanied by nausea, a cold sweat, and pretty much the inability to focus on anything else.
That said, it won't last more than 10 minutes, in which you're back to normal 100%. No lasting effects to impede performance (trust me on this).
If you're looking for something that will cause an issue later on that evening, you can always write about testicular torsion. It's rare, but it happens, and can be a side effect of being kicked in the balls. Someone would continue to feel the after-effects for quite a while. But be careful, because it does require medical attention - possible surgery. Link: https://www.gstatic.com/healthricherkp/pdf/testicular_torsion.pdf
Yeah, this. After getting kicked in the balls, a guy is probably either: a) More or less fine in 5-10 minutes - no effect on sex later that night. b) Bruised, resulting in discomfort whenever a bruise would be uncomfortable. This obviously varies by level of bruising, but iI'd think of this as "makes sex less pleasant", not "takes sex off the table" - it'd hurt the most when the scrotum is contracting during ejaculation, but (a) pain reactions are slightly dulled in states of high sexual arousal, and (b) if he's already ejaculating, you're well beyond "has prevented sex from happening". (For reference, I've read accounts from people who've had sex less than 24 hours after having a vasectomy, which is SO NOT RECOMMENDED (for reasons of pain at ejaculation)... but they did it

Thanks a lot everyone! Ok, so maybe he won't be really aroused, because I can't have him going to the hospital in the middle of the wedding dinner ^^ I read about testicular torsion and testicular rupture (both seem really awful...) when I was researching for my question earlier and they are a bit too extreme for my case here. Fractured penis wouldn't be so cool either (he still needs to be able to go on his honeymoon. I just want him to be unable to really enjoy his wedding night). But a burning sensation, or even a little something that would make him say to his brand new wife "not tonight, honey, I have a headache" is perfect. And the maid of honor kicked him pretty hard, she was really upset. Right now, in the first draft, I'm having him lie on the floor for a while in a fetal position, while the maid of honor goes back to her duties (it's after the ceremony and before the dinner). He reappears half an hour later, not looking too good, but still being able to pretend everything is fine.
As someone else pointed out, lots of couples don't have sex on their wedding night, because they're exhausted and perhaps too drunk after the wedding, reception, etcetera. Getting kicked in the balls would just be more 'etcetera'.
Whether or not man is physically able to 'perform' doesn't actually have that much to do with how much he enjoys intercourse. Considerate lovers don't expect their partners to be sex-bots when they're in pain: making love is not performance art.
"I did find some stuff on a forum about men saying they love being slapped very hard there during love-making, but I don't know if that is really something because there also was a lot of trolling involved on said forum."It's real. Google CBT BDSM for more info (CBT without the BDSM is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy: very useful, but not the droid you're looking for.) Don't be shocked; there are much weirder, scarier, more painful things that real people enjoy, for reasons nobody else can understand. As long as it's consenting adults, "to each their own", but

Yeah, I was actually thinking it might be related to BDSM, so not what I was looking for for my character. And yes, there are lots of sexual practices out there, and like you said, as long as people are okay with it and enjoy it, why not. But I figured the general male population wouldn't really want to be kicked in the nuts during intercourse...
"there are much weirder, scarier, more painful things that real people enjoy, "
Yes, like subincisions. Reading ModBlog (which covered BDSM stuff as well) before the blogger passed was... educational. In some ways I definitely didn't want to be educated.
