Try looking for repairs of anal fissures and hemorrhoids.

These repairs would require anesthesia. Yes, he'd have to go for a follow up. Any hospital would have him walking as soon as they could ... a few hours?

There's two different issues here. Rectal tears may or may not need surgery, and may or may not need stitches (which can be done under a local anaesthetic, which is lignocaine injected into the area). Anal rape, however, especially with an object, can lead to intestinal tearing, which is a medical emergency and will need surgery.

Also, if he's got cracked ribs, he's going to cause himself more pain just getting into the position to try to fix his own stitches. If he doesn't have sterile equipment he would be stupid to even try it.

I'm not absolutely sure, but whenever i assisted in operations involving the rectal area the patient is placed in jackknife position and is fully sedated.

I mean not absolutely sure if it applies on the surgery you are looking into for this question.
