I doubt she would incur any penalty, in the unlikely even that a court *did* move to press charges for operating a vehicle without a license the news papers would have a *field day* and public oppinion would probably force the charges to be dropped.
Not exactly the same, and in England... I remember some other cases where someone was directing a blind person to drive somewhere, but I can only find this case atm.
Going by US laws, but I think the most she'd get is driving w/o a driving license(not that she'd ever be issued a driver's license if she can't pass an eye test). I don't think they'd charge her w/ reckless driving unless something happened?
I seem to recall that exceptions are made for emergency cases in terms of driving without a license, such as if a parent has a heart attack or something and the kid drives them to the hospital?
