Forge’s coffee machine is borrowed with humble gratitude from the fic “Night Flier” by alcimines - possibly THE best representation of Forge in fic that I’ve seen this fandom.

I love your take on the coffee machine. Oh, and after reading this story, I'd have to say that (at best) I've only written the second best representation of Forge in this fandom.

Your "Logan vs. Scott" moments were particularly well done. I sort of hope that's how second season goes. If you have the time and interest, I'd recommend you pursue the conflict between that pair a little more. You have an extremely good feel for both characters.

And nothing quite says "love" like giving your girl her own rifle range. Really, I could see the story ending right then and there with Dom tearing Forge's clothes off.

Percy, please please excuse the fangirling, because it must be done and it's going to be rampant.

There's just this way you write, (even in 6000+ word fics for the love of pete, I love you!) that every sentence is so well thought out and perfect and fantastic. Every word is chosen ideally and it's magic and it flows so effing well.

Favourites (but really, too many to list <3):

The sound Forge makes when they come around the corner and he realizes the answer is not an attractive one.

The two Alpha males of the Mansion then troop back to the fishbowl, where Domino is still waiting.

Over the course of two months, Forge becomes the proud owner of a mint condition, first pressing of each Rage Against the Machine album, and he’s growing more and more sure that Neena just might be the proud owner of his heart. Before I read it, I was going to comment that the note on semantics was the dorkiest part of the whole thing, but...I TAKE THAT BACK. I can't even decide which is the dorkiest part now. Which is a good thing. LOVE <3 I had a big goofy smile all the way through.

While I was reading I was picturing animated!Forge in my head talking and waving his hands. And Domino being all cool and strong and and strangely vulnerable.

Have to say my favourite part is the shooting range, and:
And that point - watching a gorgeous woman giving him her real name while expertly handling a very dangerous weapon - would be the one at which Forge realizes that he could very possibly be in love.

I am, and always will be, an English teacher. I was angsting over the inclusion of that note, wondering if that would just come off as pretentious, but ended up doing so because DAMMIT WHAT IF SOMEONE WONDERED ABOUT THAT? I will take this title of dork and wear it proudly.

As to the fic? D'awwwwwww! Thanks! Forge-in-my-head does a lot of flailing, and that you're picturing that in your head as you read this means I got across the sort of characterization I intended. Also, it's my first attempt at writing both these characters, so hey! Double points for Percy!

I'll let you in on a secret about gun knowledge. A little time on google reading sniper rifle reviews (THESE DO EXIST. I know, I was pretty shocked too) gave me the entirety of my knowledge, which amounts to pretty much what you see in this fic. Clearly, I faked it well enough. ;)
