I stand on painted tape. It tells me where I'm going.

Been thinking lately about my bucket list lately. Or at least, what I think qualifies as a bucket list.

Don't ask me why; it's honestly hard to say. I've just been thinking is all. Outside of getting a job as a teacher, there's stuff I really, really want to accomplish.

Good goals, those. Very doable.

Hope you start feeling better. Being sick sucks, yeah?

And here I was thinking that they were pretty boring aspirations. Doable, huh? I like that a lot better.

Yep. 'Specially when you end up having to call in sick for work because you started throwing up anything you put in your mouth. I slept a lot. Gooooood times. Feeling somewhat better today, which is awesome. I'll actually be able to go to work today. Score!

Thanks for your best wishes, darling. Much appreciated.

I actually like your list. It includes some fun things and some just really want to make it happen kinds of things. And as a writer, they seem awesome to me. (and makes me think about making my own list of such stuff)

"Just really want to make it happen things". I like that phrase a lot, and may have to borrow it at some point.

I'd say go make your own list, for sure. It's interesting to see what the final product is and what it says about you. Mine suggests I'm rather easily amused. There's nothing gigantic; just a collection of smaller things.

2012 SDCC, you say.

You know what? We may have to make that happen. No guarantees at this point (money, blah blah blah, time, blah blah blah), but I think we should look into this.

Heh. So I take it the package meets with your approval. Excellent. :)
I look forward to your e-mail. Your squee-mails (if I may use the term) are always a blast to read and leave me grinning like a mofo.

Get the tattoo I've been planning.

Alas. Sorry to disappoint. It's gonna be something like this, just on a smaller scale and in grey scale.

Thing about the sudoku tramp stamp, as amusing as that would be the first few times you show it off, is that people are going to want to try and solve it. I just don't have the patience to sit/lie there necessary to pull off that sort of tattoo. Ah, well.

Smaller scale, definitely a good idea.

Unfortunately the novelty of the Sudoku tramp stamp would wear off. Hell that's how I feel about everything all tattoos, which is why it's something I've never seriously considered.

Yep. This idea is also better than the half/three-quarter sleeve tattoo I'd started drafting out; poorly, but still. I figured that when I finally get called in to an interview with a school district, the last thing I need is a visible tattoo counting against me. Sure, they'd find another reason to say I'm not qualified, but obvious tattoo, however inoffensive, certainly wouldn't help my case.

I'm rather fond of body ink myself. Of course, I've got a soft spot for piercings, tattoos, and some body mods. Call it residual kindergoth peeking through if you like, but there you have it. Everyone around me has ink, which I'm sure just encourages this. Dave, my step-dad, has a tattoo (and I wouldn't be shocked if he were to get more), and most of my friends have numerous pieces. I would have gotten mine sooner were it not for the money thing (five, ten bucks every pay check adds up), and waiting to check in with various specialists. I'm gunning for early in the new year.
