This was a triumph. I’m making a note here: huge success.

Ended up caving and purchasing “Wolverine/Gambit: Victims”. It was one of those things I didn’t know I needed until I actually held it in my hands while stocking the graphic novels at work. Better yet, it was marked as $24.99. It came up as $21.99 before my employee discount. Fifteen bucks for a hardcover collection? Oh hell yes I’ll pay that.

When is the con?

If I can't go, I expect you to take lots of pictures this time so that I might live through you.

March 13th and 14th, down in Seattle. Riley, Socks and I are heading down on Friday the 12th to get settled in. It`s looking like a local friend of a friend is going to show us the sights, and we want to go explore Pike`s Place Market a little bit too. Then there`s the con itself, and we`ll probably head back to Canada early afternoon on the Sunday...home in time for dinner. :)

If you can`t come, of course I`ll take pictures! Either that, or Riley will, and I`ll pass them along your way. If you can`t make it, is there anything comic or generally geek-related you want me to keep my eyes peeled for while I`m there? I can scoop it up as an early birthday present, or a belated Christmas, or you can reimburse me, or whatever. Your call.

Are you back locally now, by the way? Because if so, we need to get together ASAP in order to go see `The Princess and the Frog`. Just saying.

When you're in Pike's Place Market, definitely check out the fish counter where all the employees sing sea shanties (I kid you not).

Depending on how well I do with Christmas shopping this year, I might get you to pick up the ever elusive Farscape for me (what Canada? Are we too good for the most awesome Sci Fi series ever or something?) But I'll let you know closer to the day. I'll have to check my schedule, but if I can make it, is there any way I might be able to room with you guys?

I just got back yesterday night to the mainland. My family is going for a week to Palm Springs, but I'll be back on the 28th, so you better be prepared for a shopping day(s) and a celebration of the awesome that is us.

But of course. Riley and I stopped by there last year, but we missed the shanties and the fish-throwing. Most dissapointing, I assure you.

Let me know what's what, babe, so I can let Riley and Socks know what's going on. Of course you can room with us! We've got a suite booked that's got two queen-sized beds. If you join us, we'll just split the bill four ways instead of three, which makes it easier on everyone. If you can't make it, then I will be more than happy to look for Farscape stuff.
(Did you know there's a graphic novel series to accompany Farscape now? I saw it at the bookstore today and thought of you.)

Drop me a line when you're back. I'll express my jealousy at your going to Palm Springs, we'll see "Princess and the Frog", we'll go shopping, and be AWESOME.
