Hi, Internet,

So I found out today that ALA is offering a grant for new members to visit Chicago next year (home of the every sectsy dedos ) for a week long conference.

I'm already tryng to con pentateuch into going on another madcap adventure with me. Possibly this time with Paul in tow.

I need to see what the fees are for students to join ALA, we shall see. I ( Read more... )

pretty spiffy. I haven't checked up on IE in a while, but I still don't think anything can ever top the five minutes in grand central.

I believe that the student rate to join ALA is still $25.

I want to go to the conference next year since it's so close to Minneapolis, but I don't think that my director is going to be cool with it.

You're in an academic library right?

If I'd known you back then we could have hung out when I was at the Public Library Association conference in Minneapolis last year.

I may go...Chicago seems nice, and I hear all de sexy bears live in Chicago! heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey! haha!
Is the 15th when that thing is due? I honestly feel pretty leery about the whole giving my soul to Sonia Aguilar for a week. If I did go I think I'd just request leave with pay again and just eat the loss. More freedom, and I can save in other ways.
