This was really nice. Thoroughly enjoyed it, especially this line:

... no way does a panel of sane people allow a doctor to hand out organs to his patients.

Thanks for the excellent read!

who never even knew Wilson
This was what was bugging me: how could Wilson call that a friendship??

Also, Cuddy seems to get more unprofessional (and useless) by the minute. I don't think it's allowed for doctors to donate their organs to the first acquaintance that comes through the door.

anyway, great episode, and great take on House's thoughts.

I know. It's been established that Wilson will go to insane lengths for his friends, but I just couldn't buy that he considered Tucker the Jerk, whom he barely ever saw and whom we never heard a word about until now, a friend at all. Never mind a close enough friend to justify major surgery.

And yes, I really miss S1-2 Cuddy, back when she was a competent administrator and worthy of respect. And no, it's not allowed for doctors to donate their organs to random acquaintances, but as long as we're suspending massive amounts of disbelief anyway...

Thank you very much for commenting! I'm glad you enjoyed the fic.

He wasn't "helping a friend" he was trying to preserve a family. A lobe of liver meant nothing if it got Jerk to reunite with his wife and kid. I imagine Wilson felt incredibly betrayed when Jerk went back to Airhead.

"Wilson is his confidante, his sounding board, his partner-in-crime, the Watson to his Holmes. Always, always in his corner,..."

You put it so beautifully. This was very enjoyable, thanks for sharing!

I don't usually care for episode-related fics, let alone read them, but I like your work, so decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. I truly enjoyed this. Well done!
