So, yes, I enjoyed this. I'm glad that you had your spurt. :-)

Thank you so much. I think the guilt of having so many WIPs made it hard for me to write, and the relief of realizing that I was almust unburied really helped

Lovely wrap up though I wouldn't say no to a second helping of smut or PWP scene from this universe. Jayne and Mal, lordy!

Good job and thanks for shairng

I'm glad that it works for you. I wanted Jim to be able to go back to being a cop, although now poor Mal has to deal with the fact that he's renting his shuttle out to a cop of all things.

It doesn't quite feel like done. Its nice that William Ellison made such a good dressage horse. I couldn't see Jim or Simon touching that mess without breaking it. But who is the Operative? What will Blair do without people to fix ( mentally and physically )? Is Jim going to work with Simon again or is Simone dead?
I like that Jayne isn't intimidated by Mal. Oh I had some comments as anonymous on earlier chapters, didn't realize I wasn't signed in.
Please no epilogue just to have more porn.

The Operative is out of the Serenity movie. He's sort of River, version one. He clearly has some tracking abilities beyond normal, and he beat the snot out of the crew. He's why so many of them are gone by this time. In the early chapters I mentioned that the Operative was on their tail, and the Serenity fans would have twitched at that, so I wanted to clear it up. River says he's not involved anymore.

Honestly, I think the rest of those questions would be part of a sequel if I wrote one. Yes, Simon Banks is still alive and well. He'd have heartburn at the idea of his investigator teaming up with Browncoat smugglers, but he'd deal with it. So, William tapdances as he tries to neutralize the danger, Jim goes back to work, Blair works as a barker and cook, while nagging the crew into mental health.

Very satisfactory.

But clearly this is just one in what needs to be a series of stories. Zoe is right, the Universe has strange sense of humour, and who better than you to recount it.

Thank you so much. I do think this could lead to a series, but I'm trying to clean up my WIPs, not start new ones.

I loved this whole story. You did a really great job melding the two shows and staying true to the characters.

Thank you so much. I really did try to let Jim and Blair be themselves, even in this very different world.
