You're not going to believe this. My computer died. My brand new computer. Anyway, I thought I was going to miss my deadline, and I had to scramble to get an old laptop hooked up, but here you go....
Oh yes... the brand new, don't even have all the programs loaded onto it computer. I said so many bad words that my mother fled. Unfortunately, the poor dog just kept getting more and more freaked out as she tried to cheer me up by shoving her head between me and the offending computer as I ripped out cords
I think fanfic tends to make Buffy a little stupider than she is in canon. Yeah, she's self absorbed, but I think she would be paying attention to Spike here. Did you get your book?
I totally admit I haven't really watched enough of the later seasons...
Yes, I did get my book! I'm slowly composing a review for Amazon etc. It's a little bit tricky because I don't want the Romance crowd to assume this is a formula genre novel...
Sorry to hear about your computer especially since it's brand new. Talk about a waste of money.
As for the story, Wow! I just knew that Xander was going to blame himself and Buffy as well. Technically, he is guilty by being an accomplice but the the true fault lies with Willow and Giles. Giles especially since he most have known the full consequences of Willow's spell and yet still left her unsupervised. What was he thinking?
And nice bit with the Avatar. I never thought of that way before but it does make sense.
And I love that confrontation between Spike and Riley. Nice to see where they both stand with each other.
And I think what Spike missed is that Buffy knows about him and Xander, I think.
Well, I will be taking it back, so hopefully the money isn't lost.
Xander and Buffy are both doing the guilt thing, and compared to the others, they have nothing to feel bad about. Buffy didn't choose to come back and Xander couldn't have checked that spell.
I'm glad that you enjoyed my twists on canon. I do like Riley, but I can't see Riley and Spike ever being comfortable with each other.
