I'm so glad that the scene worked even if it wasn't big or complicated or vampy. These two are finding a much quieter and more equal relationship than any of my other Spander stories.

Spike may have to lead a little bit, but now that Xander is ready and willing to explore this side of himself and their relationship, Spike isn't going to have to lead for long/all that often. In fact, I imagine that he's going to find himself flustered upon occasion because while Xander didn't do so well in school, he was a fast study when it came to 'working with his hands' so to speak. LOL, Spike might just regret ever saying that things couldn't ever be "too good".

I wonder how Spike is going to feel about a lover who actually likes holding him at night, keeping him warm, safe, and close.

And yay for back-up being on the way! Now, if only Spike can NOT eat Riley, everything should be of the good.

Yeah, it's always jarring when a beautiful, slowly developed relationship suddenly jumps the rails and becomes PWP with everything but livestock done the very first time together. I just love this.
