Toys 16: The Strength of Submission

Aug 20, 2008 22:39

And we have finally reached the end of chapter 16 (with part 16-C) ...   Three huge parts in three days, but truly, they are all one chapter.  Willow needed to be dealt with, and I'm managed to almost keep Toys from being cliffhangery because I did provide the daily updates during the cliffhanger portion.  I can now go back to visiting this when I ( Read more... )

I just don't think Spike could sit back and watch this version of his sire go flopping through life. So, yep, Spike has his plans. I don't know how well they'll go, but he has them.

And Wesley really is quite the follower. And when Angel leaves him to try and figure stuff out on his own, he tends to go horribly astray. So, I do think that he's like Xander... strongest when following. HOwever, Angel is really not worth following season 3/4 of Angel:tS

Yay, more!
Sometimes staying up late has perks :)

Loved the wrap up with Willow, glad they didn't kill her. I love the interactions of the characters, especially with Cordelia at the end. I can't wait to read what her, very vocal i'm sure, opinions will be on Spike's court.

Sometimes it does. I really wanted to wrap up this section, so I stayed up rather late myself. And yeah, Cordelia always has her opinions.

So as everyone leaves for Sunnydale Gunn will be on his own again. Will Lorne show up or stay at Caritas. I like the way Cordelia descibed how she would complain about kneeling. (like fingernails down a chalkboard) I do love Cordelia. I have a sinking feeling that Wesley is going to let the cat out of the bag and when he does all hell will break loose. I don't think the Powers are going to like the fact that Angel isn't in L.A. Update soon. I do need more of Kin though. Sorry for the short comments I don't feel well.

Well, I just cannot imagine Gunn having anything to do with Spike or his court and he would throw a big enough fit about Fred that Spike would feel the need to break something... probably Gunn's legs.

I think Wesley is going to try hard to follow orders. He was raised to follow orders, and unlike Angel, Spike is so very, very clear about what he expects.

You totally spoil us with these delicious stories. Okay, I know it was basically just one story, but still *g*

I'm guessing there are some interesting times ahead with them all at the Hellmouth. Very interested to see what Spike will do with Angel.

Thank you so much. And I do think this is going to take a temporary dive into Spangel.

These three parts were definitely a treat!

Wes... on the couch... with the women = :D And Spike saying that he would beat the shit out of whoever had sex with Dawn was just too adorable!

Loved the reference to Wes having never seen two guys go at it before, then Wes thinking about how he didn't know that position was possible! Mmmm... flexible Xander!

I really liked how Spike just takes everybody with him. He's taking over, and he's doing it with a strength and confidence that is so like him. I like how he dealt with Angel as well. Angel needs it :)

Thank you so much for these three parts! I was already a big fan of Toys, but now? :D

Wesley is just so out of his depth, not only with Spike but with the whole court. If he'd just said "no," the Oden Tal would have left him alone. However, he didn't.

And having strong people submit to him, first Xander as his lover and then Dalton as his childe, pushed Spike more toward his commanding toppy side. Spike molds himself to the people he cares about, and so he has taken up the mantle of "Master" in master vampire.
