Ooooh that is sooo perfect! So something that should have happened in the actual run of the show, and then maybe so much of the disaster would have been averted... okay nah, they aren't likely to listen. Never did, but it sure would have been nice to have seen.

thanks so much for sharing and keep penning,

You would think that in canon SOMEONE would bring up the fact that the age difference is just creepy. I mean, an adult Xander or Buffy or Willow with a vampire... fine. But a teen. That's a little creepifying.

I'm glad you enjoyed the babbling brook of Xander babble.

Poor Angel, he doesn't have a chance against Xander's words. That's a weapon Angel just isn't prepared to deal with. Xander's motives may not be the purest, but he's right - Angel and Buffy were doomed from the start and both of them should have known better. It's not like they had anything in common except mutual attraction and fighting. Good on Xander for making Angel think about the relationship for apparently the first time. Really enjoyed this.

Angel does much better when the enemy is something he can punch. I agree that he is MUCH less equipped to deal with this kind of an attack, even if it is only motivated partially by a need to tel the truth.

Xander accidentally saves my world on a regular basis. He's the normal one. He doesn't have the ego, the brains or the brawn to be the Big Guy. But, he's always our heart.

Thanks for the lovely story. For me Xander-babble always had a point.

Xander really does do a lot more than the others give him credit for, usually through plain old unwillingness to be beaten. It's his best quality!

I hate to say it cause I would have been all teenage girl about Angel too - But even if it is just jealousy Xander is soo right - even with out hindsight about the the curse - Angel hanging around the Buffster was not of the good.

Yeah, he is a teen dream... experienced, gorgeous, mysterious... but that doesn't make him a good choice. In fact, it's kind of the opposite. And yeah, Xander doesn't have the purest motives, but he's right.
