Ok so school has started once again and that means updating this beast more often probably. Since I've been back at school I have been feeling quite nostalgics. There is something about walking in front of the dorms at 9 at night and seeing people sitting outside talking, spending the last nice nights of summer outside. I wish I had taken advantage ( Read more... )

Fall is m favorite season, too. The ravines are gorgeous in the fall. It's actually the reason I came to Grand Valley- my dad and I went on a tour here in October and it was so beautiful. Maybe not the best way to choose a college, but oh well.

We might have another pumpkin-carving party this year, and you and the Trace-miester should come. If not, you guys should still come visit so that we can go hiking and pick apples.

I like hearing trains at night, too. I used to be able to hear them in Berkley, and I didn't realize how much I loved it until I moved to GR. One night I realized I could hear trains here, too, and it made me feel really safe and good. It's an odd thing.

i felt bad that i didn't spend more time being social in the dorms, too... i gradually got more antisocial every year, too. i always thought that it would've been nice to sit outside and chill and talk with friends at night.

Jim is great, lol. he sure likes to ramble about paint, though.

when i first moved downriver into our cookie-cutter house, i was often really scared at night and i didn't really know why. then i figured out that it was because i lived on a court next to the woods and i couldn't hear the cars going by. it was too quiet. i eventually figured out that there was this distant, high-pitched squeaking that the trains made (i think it was the trains...) and that comforted me in a strange way, instead.
