ADAPTATION CHANGED MY LIFE. Well, the first 2/3rds, I agree that it got very strange towards the end. I was never sure if I liked that or not, but I liked that I wasn't sure? If that makes sense. And it profiles so well how HARD IT IS TO WRITE A MOVIE.

PS kind of expanding on what ana said, the whole movie was written that way because it was autobiographical. he really did try to adapt the orchid thief, and he did fuck it up. he literally put himself in his screenplay, just as his character did. there's so many layers, goddamn.

Aww Cyndi Lauper! I saw her in concert- my first ever, in fact. She rocked.

Kirstie Alley for the win! She was on Oprah recently and confessed that Jamie Foxx was her crush and she wanted him to be a booty call, and then he came on via skype and totally said he was down for it. It was so cute.

Adaptaion is just...epic. And the Orchid Thief is a really interesting book.
