"I keep track of all the moments in my life that feel like a movie - it'd probably be those ones."

1.) Do you think your whole life flashes before your eyes right before you die?

2.) If it were to flash, do you ever think about what moments would stand out? What are they?

3.) I was presented with a new way to view kissing - when you kiss someone, do you ever think about the happiest you've ever felt with that person? I guess it makes the ( Read more... )

1) I nearly drowned once and I have to say that all that went through my mind was OMFG I'M GOING TO DIE.

2) Sitting on a hillside at the top of the Alps in France with my family watching hang gliders launch themselves down over the valley. It was the single most beautiful thing I have EVER seen. We sat there for hours. / Swimming in a lake in new Hampshire in the middle of the night with my American family. My aunt had forgotten her swimsuit so she ran along the jetty and jumped into the water in all her (designer) clothes. I lay in the shallows with my cousin Nate and we talked about love and life. / Holding my godson when he was about six hours old. He was so small and smooshed up in my arms. His mum had tried so so long to have him and he was perfect. I was overwhelmed with love and with the fact that this was a whole new person who existed and who might achieve anything in his life. / Sitting in the hospital with Grandma ( ... )

1.) I know that on the two occasions I've almost been drowned by my brother, I felt strangely calm. There was this odd state of well-being that just settled inside me. It felt peaceful. - You know what, I've always kind of had this hope that when we die we find out the answers to things we've always wanted to be able to investigate further. The truth behind Marilyn Monroe's death. Who was Jack the Ripper and where did he go? Did Anastasia and her young brother really survive the Revolution? Nature or nurture... it would be cool if you got to know all those things ( ... )

1) I've never been close to dying,so i don't really know. But i hope so,i mean,i'd love to see all the happy memories flash before me before i die.
2)The very important moments, and the small, little ones that meant a great deal to you.The places i've been, all the sunsets i've seen, laughing with my friends, being with my family, school memories, being in Oxford and many other moments that i still have to live!
4)My anxiety problems.
5)A mix of the two, probably. But idk, things like these scare the hell out of me,lol!

1) Hope so, but I doubt it. I've watched people die and never had any indication that their life was flashing through their mind. Unless it happens when they are unconscious?

2) Honestly never thought about it. So far most of my 'defining moments' have been traumatic (with the exception of the kids) and I'd rather not relive them.

3) Newness is awesome when it's actually new, but if you consciously made yourself think about it when things get familiar, you miss out on all the beauty and deeper comfort of familiarity. Plus you take yourself out of the moment, and really, if anything should be 'in the moment' it should be kissing :)

4) Deliberate ignorance :/

5) Definitely the second, we make things happen. If only we could tap into that intuition...

1) I've never had a near death experience but I doubt life fleshes before your eyes before you die. Though I have hope.

2) I tend to focus only on the negative things (like the death of my father), but there are so many small happy moments who stand out for me just because they made me feel loved or cared for or worthy.

4) Anxiety, insecurity, the feeling that you know you're wasting your life (meaning you know that you could make more of it, but are unable or at least feel this way for a certain reason)

5) I know this feeling, I believe that there is a meaning behind everything, not in the sense of that your actions are planned, but that everything happens for a reason.
Though it has also a lot to do with willpower. If you want something to happen (and believe in it), you can make it happen.
LOL, so a mixture of both, I think.
