The montages on this year's Oscars are fucking beautiful. I don't remember them ever being so thought-out and aligned so well. And I don't know how many people even think of this - but someone had to do this. Someone had to put this together. It took them hours. Days, probably. The show was just amazing. I was really entertained for the whole thing; I feel like it's such a breath of fresh air in comparison to previous ceremonies. So many of those montages moved me to tears. It was beautiful.

This year the Oscars totally blew me away. Not only was everything so beautiful, but the new formats for the awards made the show feel fresh, new and inspiring.
And I loooved that they had Queen Latifah sing instead of having a track. I love QL, so that was a given.

AGREED. They were just gorgeous, and fun and creative and so well done. Especially the best pictures one; that absolutely blew me away. The thought and time that had to go into not only editing it, but picking out just a few scenes from SO MANY MOVIES that I'm sure could've been applicable. And it was wonderful how the romance one acknowledged films that weren't Oscar status.
